Capacity boosts storage to 17,500 pallets with Interlake Mecalux

Capacity, a comprehensive order fulfillment and warehousing services provider, faced operational inefficiencies and space constraints as it grew. To support its expanding client base, the company constructed a new 300,000-square-foot facility in New Jersey and needed to quickly equip it with high-density storage solutions. The vendor, Interlake Mecalux, was selected along with partner ABCO Systems to design and install the necessary racking systems to maximize storage capacity and improve process flow.

Interlake Mecalux implemented multiple storage solutions, including pallet racks, push-back racking, pallet flow racks, and carton flow shelving. This combination of systems, utilizing both FIFO and LIFO methods, maximized storage density within the facility, which can now accommodate approximately 17,500 pallets. The result was a significant increase in storage capacity and operational productivity for Capacity without expanding the building's footprint, all delivered within a tight deadline.
