B. Braun a Leading Provider of Healthcare Products, Builds Its New Controlled Temperature Logistics Centre in Tarragona

B. Braun, an international healthcare group with operations in more than 60 countries, needed to improve its logistics service in Spain and Europe and meet tight order deadlines from its Santa Oliva site in Tarragona. To address this challenge, it worked with Interlake Mecalux to develop a highly automated storage and distribution center.

Interlake Mecalux implemented an automated clad-rack warehouse with a 42,116-pallet capacity, plus annexes for receiving, picking, sorting, and shipping. The solution uses 11 aisles with stacker cranes and conveyor-linked autonomous trolleys, enabling more than 370 pallet movements per hour and giving B. Braun full control of operations through integration with its ERP and WMS.
