Automatic and Semi automatic Systems to Store Frozen Vegetables

Comagra de Congelación, one of Spain’s largest frozen food companies, worked with Interlake Mecalux to expand and modernize its frozen-storage operations in Alberche del Caudillo (Toledo). The company needed greater storage capacity, better control of goods, and more efficient handling to support rising production and export demand for frozen vegetables such as broccoli and peas.

Interlake Mecalux implemented an automated clad-rack warehouse and upgraded two existing freezer stores with the semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system. The solution increased total capacity to more than 7,800 pallets, enabled traceability and fast access to stock, and streamlined daily operations with about 540 pallet movements per day, while reducing operating costs and improving service efficiency.
