Preview of the Continental AG Case Study

AS/RS for Boxes Swift Pickings at Continental

Continental AG, the global technology company founded in Hanover, needed a dedicated storage system for small parts at its Planta Periférico facility in Guadalajara, Mexico. To support faster order fulfillment and manage spare parts and car accessories more efficiently, Continental AG partnered with Interlake Mecalux and implemented an automated miniload warehouse with the Easy WMS warehouse management system.

Interlake Mecalux designed a solution with 3,460-box storage capacity, two aisles of double-deep racking, and automated stacker cranes feeding two U-shaped picking stations. The system delivers a goods-to-person workflow, high throughput for picking and replenishment, and smart control via Easy WMS and Galileo, helping Continental AG maximize space and streamline inbound, outbound, and order preparation operations.
