An Intelligent Warehouse for the Frozen Chip Maker Bem Brasil

Bem Brasil, a Brazilian producer of frozen pre-cooked chips, needed to support rapid growth, expand into international markets, and store both raw materials and finished goods in a frozen environment at -30 ºC while maximizing capacity and keeping operations efficient. To meet this challenge, the company worked with Interlake Mecalux, using an automated warehouse approach with the Pallet Shuttle system and Mecalux Easy WMS.

Interlake Mecalux designed and implemented a 25 m high automated clad-rack frozen warehouse with stacker cranes, automatic Pallet Shuttles, conveyors, and Easy WMS control, plus Galileo for equipment coordination. The facility now provides capacity for 33,696 pallets and improves product flow, handling efficiency, energy use, and preservation of goods, with almost fully automated in-warehouse operations.
