Alcorta Forging Group Technology Connecting the Warehouse With Production

Alcorta Forging Group, a century-old Spanish metalworking company serving the automotive sector, wanted to improve logistics as it experienced rapid growth and increasing demand. To better control raw materials and finished goods across its Elgoibar plant, the company turned to Interlake Mecalux and its Easy WMS warehouse management system.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a 46-foot-high automated warehouse connected bidirectionally to production and the loading docks, with stacker cranes, conveyors, and Easy WMS managing inventory and traceability. The system stores 1,115 pallets, handles about 300 pallet movements per day, and helps Alcorta Forging Group achieve real-time inventory control, reduced errors and operating costs, faster storage and picking, and full integration between warehousing and production.
