Case Study: Huijbregts Groep boosts warehouse productivity with Interlake Mecalux Easy WMS and Pallet Shuttle

A Powered Ingredients Warehouse for the Agribusiness Industry

Huijbregts Groep, a Netherlands-based maker of powdered ingredients for the food industry, needed to expand storage capacity at its Helmond production warehouse as the business grew and space ran out. To better manage around 2,500 raw-material SKUs and 14,000 finished-product SKUs, the company turned to Interlake Mecalux for a high-density storage and warehouse management solution, including the Easy WMS warehouse management system and Pallet Shuttle system.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a block of Pallet Shuttle racks with 85 channels and 2,295-pallet capacity, along with Easy WMS Enterprise and shuttle-control software to coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished products. The system improved control, safety, and organization across manual and automated operations, and Huijbregts Groep reported strong results after installation, including an approximately 8% sales increase between February and August 2018.
