A Multi Client Logistics Operator Achieves a Capacity of 48,000 Variable Volume Pallets and Streamlines Picking With a Pallet Racking Solution

Carreras Grupo Logístico, a leading logistics operator in Spain and Portugal, needed a high-capacity warehouse to store a wide variety of customer goods, mainly consumer and industrial products. Interlake Mecalux was brought in to equip the new facility in Santa Oliva, near Barcelona, with pallet racking designed for direct access to many SKUs and efficient picking.

Interlake Mecalux installed pallet racking with lower levels dedicated to picking and upper levels reserved for storage, supported by reach trucks and order preparation machines that can transport two pallets at once. The solution delivered a single-center storage capacity of 47,000 pallets, improved stock control and picking agility, and kept goods readily available for dispatch.
