Tulane University worked for years to find a way to move promotion and tenure committee processes online, while also improving financial planning and workload management for administrators. The university adopted Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure, along with Interfolio Faculty Search, to replace manual, paper-based workflows and a limited HR system that lacked the flexibility and confidentiality Tulane needed.
With Interfolio, Tulane gained transparent, campus-wide oversight of academic decisions, easier case tracking, and better budget planning based on active promotion and tenure loads. The shift eliminated paper binders and manual file hauling, reduced time spent on in-person reviews, and enabled faculty and committee members to review files remotely. Interfolio also helped Tulane streamline hiring with custom reporting and confidential recommendation letters, while giving the university a partner in ongoing product development.
