Millikin University first used Interfolio’s Faculty Search in 2013 to support faculty hiring, but later switched to a homegrown system that quickly created problems with document management, access, confidentiality, and overall workflow. Faculty, administrators, and HR found the internal solution difficult to use and began pushing to bring back Interfolio.

Interfolio re-established Faculty Search at Millikin University, helping the campus manage faculty, staff, dean, and award-related searches more securely and efficiently. The platform improved access to application materials, simplified EEO reporting, and replaced paper-based processes, leading to faster, more consistent review workflows and strong campus buy-in, with the provost calling Interfolio an “immense improvement” and a solution that drew no negative comments from users.
