K&S Freighters, a major freight company, faced the challenge of needing a more cost-effective IT maintenance solution with faster response times and a robust disaster recovery plan to mitigate business risk. They partnered with vendor Interactive Pty Ltd for a tailored hardware maintenance agreement and disaster recovery service to protect their critical data and systems.

Interactive implemented a solution that included maintaining 60 servers and co-locating K&S Freighters' data in their Melbourne data center with access to cold servers for disaster recovery. As a result, Interactive reduced maintenance response times from 24 hours to just 2 hours at a significantly lower cost and ensured the business could have its core systems running within two hours of a disaster declaration.
