UFCU and Interact partner to construct a user-centered environment with their new collaborative intranet “UFCU Connect”

University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) faced a dated legacy intranet that scored just 18% satisfaction, delivered poor search results, and relied on inefficient email-driven workflows. To modernize employee communication and collaboration, UFCU partnered with Interact and deployed Interact’s out-of-the-box intranet platform—launching the new collaborative workspace “UFCU Connect” with Team Spaces, a redesigned information architecture, and dedicated forums for memos and meetings.

Using Interact technology, UFCU centralized memos, streamlined approvals, launched campaigns (like Take 5), and created a Support Portal and KPI dashboard to drive adoption. The results were measurable: within the early rollout UFCU Connect recorded over 19,098 monthly sessions, 26 active team spaces (in the first four months), about 10,000 average monthly searches, and an 8% increase in Take 5 participation—demonstrating Interact’s impact on engagement, efficiency, and collaboration.
