Maxxam Analytics, a Canadian leader in analytical services with more than 2,400 employees across 38 offices and labs, needed to improve internal communications and collaboration for widely distributed, often offline teams. Their existing WordPress intranet lacked advanced search, a skills-based people directory, team workspaces and devolved content publishing, so Maxxam engaged Interact and deployed Interact’s intranet technology (branded Catalyst) to address those gaps.

Interact implemented Catalyst with a full-featured People Directory, skills search, team sites, social collaboration tools and centralized security for devolved content management. The solution delivered 95% of Maxxam’s intranet wish list out of the box, saw 25% of staff contributing to discussions and blogs within a year, sped up client queries by enabling fast skills searches, and freed significant time for the central communications team through delegated publishing — all delivered by Interact.
