Healthcare pioneer Piedmont deploys Interact to connect more than 18,300 employees and make a positive difference in patient care

Piedmont Healthcare, a rapidly growing health system of more than 18,300 employees across Georgia, faced a legacy intranet with poor search, limited remote access, weak collaboration and no governance or content strategy. To unify its dispersed workforce and improve employee engagement, Piedmont partnered with Interact to replace the proprietary intranet with a modern, social intranet platform.

Interact delivered a six‑month implementation that launched “The Village,” a task‑focused, mobile‑friendly intranet backed by content governance, persona-driven design and broad employee engagement activities. The results were measurable: 13,987 unique visits and 1.0 million page views (surpassing the 80% adoption target), 49% completion of the mandatory social media page (target 30%), 100% hospital presence, all 11 system departments contributing content, 5,871 virtual tours in three months, strong launch‑day engagement and industry recognition with Interact Excellence Awards for Best Intranet Launch.
