Hachette UK achieves group wide collaboration with Interact

Hachette UK Limited, a London-based publishing group made up of multiple imprints, faced poor internal communication and fragmented document and knowledge sharing across divisions and locations. To address this, Hachette UK selected Interact and deployed its intranet solution (Novel) to provide a single, centralised place for colleagues to find documents, connect with systems and each other, and support the transition of just under 1,000 employees into a single building.

Interact implemented the Novel intranet with searchable, auto-indexed content, a people directory, analytics, widgets for fast page building, and social/blogging tools. As a result, Hachette reduced intranet content by 80%, replaced frequent top‑down emails with one weekly news digest, gained readership analytics to target communications, enabled HR/IT self‑service links and faster access to resources, and achieved rapid, day‑one deployment—improving collaboration, knowledge sharing and service across the group.
