Acadian Companies, a US transportation and medical services group of more than 4,300 employees across six divisions, was struggling with a legacy intranet that was hard to navigate, poorly optimized for mobile and insufficiently tailored to its dispersed, non‑desk workforce. Acadian partnered with Interact to rebuild their intranet, Acadian Central, using Interact’s intranet platform and services to address findability, mobile access and the need for both business and social content.

Interact implemented keyword‑rich titles, tags and Best Bets search prioritization, a mobile‑responsive design, a cleaner homepage (removing excess social clutter), division‑specific homepages, Employee Spotlights and analytics‑driven engagement campaigns (including a profile‑completion contest). The result: a 550% increase in views of the division homepage, users spending 1.5 minutes more per session, profile completeness up ~650% in four weeks, daily unique visitors never falling below 800 (commonly ~2,000), and over half of the safety division logging in monthly—demonstrating stronger findability and engagement thanks to Interact.
