Google reaches nearly 10% DAU/MAU on mobile with Intellum in under six months

Google, which lacks its own retail stores, needed a way to train and engage the sales associates of its global retail partners to improve product knowledge and boost sales. The challenge was connecting with and motivating these third-party employees across more than 30 countries. To address this, Google's Retail Training (GRT) team partnered with Intellum, utilizing the Intellum Platform to deliver the training.

Intellum provided a modern, scalable LMS and collaborated with Google to develop focused, engaging content. To further improve access and engagement, they co-launched a native mobile app, the Google Retail Training app. This solution led to rapid global penetration, with the mobile app achieving a Daily Active Users to Monthly Active Users ratio of nearly 10%. The initiative successfully helped retail employees become better sales associates and gave Google a competitive advantage in crowded retail environments.
