WMS Supports Busy Season and Future Growth for Cycle Force Group

Cycle Force Group, a bicycle designer, manufacturer and distributor in Ames, Iowa, faced growing operational pain as orders climbed: stock shortages, wrong shipments, order backlogs and customer complaints threatened its commitment to 24-hour shipping. To address these issues, Cycle Force Group engaged IntelliTrack and adopted IntelliTrack’s WMS RF Professional integrated with their Sage BusinessWorks accounting system.

IntelliTrack implemented WMS RF Professional with barcode labeling, inventory tracking, wave/ batch picking, SKU validation and serial capture, plus three workstations, five mobile licenses, a server and new wireless coverage. The system went live in November 2012 and handled 20% more orders during the busy season without requiring overtime; throughput and pick accuracy improved, training took under an hour for most staff, scanning errors are declining, and leadership now has the operational confidence to expand warehouse capacity.
