Warehouse Management Software Reduces Errors for FME Inc.

FME Inc., a parts and equipment supplier for the document printing industry since 1969, was losing roughly $30,000 a year and spending up to two weeks on manual, error-prone inventory counts that sometimes relied on luck to find items. To address this, FME Inc. selected IntelliTrack and its IntelliTrack WMS to modernize inventory control.

IntelliTrack implemented IntelliTrack WMS integrated with Microsoft Great Plains and deployed PSC 4220 RF handhelds on the warehouse floor to track shipping transactions and reconcile inventory with accounting. As a result, IntelliTrack helped FME Inc. reduce inventory errors to under 0.1% and cut annual inventory time from weeks to days, effectively eliminating the prior large annual losses.
