Warehouse Management Software Helps Non-Profit Track Donations and Increase Services

Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries’ Kathryn’s Kloset division, a 50,000‑square‑foot warehouse serving vulnerable populations across Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania, struggled for years with manual donation tracking—recording donations from 150–200,000 organizations by hand—which limited how many partners they could serve and made accounting reports time‑consuming. They selected IntelliTrack and its IntelliTrack WMS to replace manual processes and provide a scalable, budget‑fit solution.

IntelliTrack implemented a barcode‑driven WMS with labels, packing lists and instant reporting, enabling Diakon to know what was on hand and what was going out in real time. As a result of IntelliTrack’s solution Diakon’s operations ran much more smoothly and quickly, expanding service capacity from about 200,000 clients to 507,000 organizations served in the first six months of 2010.
