Case Study: City of Orlando achieves streamlined asset and inventory management with IntelliTrack

A IntelliTrack Case Study

Preview of the City of Orlando Case Study

Inventory and Asset Management Help Orlando Government Provide Wide Range of Services

The City of Orlando, a municipal government of nearly 4,000 employees, needed to replace its legacy inventory and financial transaction tracking system and required tight integration with Workday for HR and financial reporting. Faced with limited internal development resources and the need for frontline staff adoption, the city evaluated off‑the‑shelf options and selected IntelliTrack, subscribing to the IntelliTrack ISRP and Assets packages to meet its functional and integration requirements.

IntelliTrack implemented the ISRP and Assets solutions with three Workday integration points—asset tracking, asset validation and material consumption—using secure SFTP/CSV exchanges and customized item labels/packing lists to capture cost center, ledger account and unit cost. The phased rollout (install 5 weeks; alpha 2 weeks; beta 2 weeks; training 2 weeks) went live on March 19, 2014 with all milestones met, improved financial detail for consumables and assets, and responsive vendor support; IntelliTrack is also adding average costing to further enhance management reporting.
