How the U.S. Army FMWR Implemented Approval Workflow

Fort Irwin Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR), led by marketing director Kathleen Hutchinson, needed a way to compile program requests into a central database and route submissions through multiple approvers. Their prior form tool lacked multi-step approval and routing capabilities, making it difficult to coordinate marketing requests across departments.

They implemented Formstack’s Approval Workflow to route marketing request forms to the appropriate department head and then to marketing for final approval. The new workflow centralized requests, sped up review and approval, and proved more user-friendly; the team is now exploring additional Formstack features such as payment integrations.
