Building a Student Enrollment, Payment, and Evaluation System

Code Black Indy is a social enterprise and 501(c)(3) that builds a pipeline to bring Black and Brown youth from underserved Indianapolis communities into the tech ecosystem by partnering with high schools and colleges. Working across multiple partners, they needed a flexible, secure way to handle student enrollment, payments, and evaluations that could be adapted to each program and avoid high third‑party processing fees.

Using Formstack’s no‑code form builder, staff can create and modify dynamic enrollment and payment forms in minutes, collect fees via a PayPal integration, and store data centrally for Salesforce and Google Sheets reporting. The solution automated end‑of‑program evaluations, eliminated data silos, reduced payment fees, improved partner collaboration and form conversions, and produced a repeatable process across programs.
