EMEPA Achieves Dynamic Employee Safety and Increased Customer Satisfaction with IntelliShift

East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) sought a more robust fleet management solution to proactively protect its drivers and the public following past safety incidents. The utility cooperative, serving 37,000 members, needed to connect its telematics and fleet data for deeper analytics to discourage speeding and ensure driver safety. They worked with IntelliShift to up-level their technology and achieve their safety-first mission.

IntelliShift implemented its operations intelligence platform, which integrated seamlessly with EMEPA’s outage management software. The solution provided detailed driver scorecards, automated safety alerts for speeding, and drastically reduced location update intervals from 60 seconds to 10 seconds. These improvements led to increased customer satisfaction, improved driver safety, and the elimination of speeding, allowing EMEPA to dispatch the closest operator to outages and enhance safety during storms.
