How QCOSS automated HR workflows and processes to free up time for strategy

Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS), a not-for-profit peak body in Queensland, needed a better way to manage HR because its processes were largely manual and paper-based. The small corporate services team wanted a more flexible system to centralize employee information, automate administration, improve onboarding, support goal setting, and make it easier to engage staff. To address this, QCOSS partnered with intelliHR and its people management platform, using features including Core HR, Onboarding, Goals, Form designs, HR analytics, and Workflows.

With intelliHR, QCOSS created a single digital source of truth for employee data and resources, built tailored onboarding workflows for permanent staff, contractors, casuals, and volunteers, and automated forms and approvals for tasks such as training, travel, purchasing, and project cash flow tracking. The organization also improved reporting on training investment and increased self-service for managers and employees, freeing the corporate services team to focus on strategic work. As a result, QCOSS reported more efficient processes, better engagement, and stronger visibility into how time and money were being invested.
