Schlegel Villages replaces 1.2M liters of storage with Intellihot in Village of Sandalwood Park

Schlegel Villages, a long-term assisted living facility in Brampton, Ontario, needed to quickly and efficiently replace its old water heating system without inconveniencing its over 120 residents. The challenge was to retrofit the expansive facility, which has individual rooms of 218-230 sq. ft., with a new solution. They partnered with vendor Intellihot Inc. to address this.

Intellihot implemented a solution by replacing two old 500,000 BTU boilers and four storage tanks with two iN501 Neuron units and an iQ251 booster. This retrofit provided a total installed capacity of 1,000,000 BTU/hr in a much more efficient footprint. The Intellihot units were noted for being readily available and easy to install, with the vendor providing excellent support throughout the planning and installation phases.
