New way to “Hotel” Aligns with a New Way to Heat Water.

AC Hotel by Marriott in Portland, Oregon, needed a sustainable hot water solution for its new 192-room, 12-suite, 13-floor property that could meet high demand at full occupancy while reducing operating costs and avoiding inefficient storage tanks. The hotel worked with Intellihot Inc. to support a green building design centered on on-demand water heating.

Intellihot Inc. installed three iQ751 units with zero storage, delivering 2,250,000 BTU/hr of installed capacity. The solution eliminated the need for storage tanks, saved valuable mechanical room space, and provided tight temperature control while heating only the water used. The system was designed to improve energy efficiency, with Intellihot stating it can conserve up to 40% of the energy lost in traditional water-heating methods.
