Meeting a Top Local Hotel’s Morning Demand for Hot Water

Vision Hospitality Group, developer of the La Quinta Inn in Chattanooga, TN, faced a hot water challenge in a new 53-room hotel with a very small mechanical room. The original plan called for three 100-gallon commercial tank heaters, but the space constraints made it difficult to maintain required clearances and accommodate the needed piping, power, and venting.

Intellihot Inc. solved the problem by installing one iQ750/iQ751 gas water heater with zero gallons of storage. The compact, on-demand system provided ample hot water for peak morning demand and the commercial laundry, reduced piping by nearly two-thirds, lowered installation cost, and freed up valuable mechanical room space while also improving energy efficiency and reliability.
