Long Island Baptist Houses in Brooklyn, NY, part of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) public housing portfolio, needed to replace an inefficient steam boiler and tank setup that was running 24/7/365 just to provide hot water. Intellihot Inc. was selected to help upgrade the property’s domestic hot water system with high-efficiency, on-demand tankless water heaters.
Intellihot Inc. implemented a decoupled hot water solution using one iN401, three iN501s, three iQ1001s, and three iQ1501s, delivering 9,400,000 BTU/hr with zero gallons of storage. The new system lets the buildings produce hot water more efficiently, shut boilers down for summer maintenance, and monitor usage remotely, helping reduce wasted energy and improve reliability.
