Case Study: Wilderness at the Smokies eliminates hot water storage risk with Intellihot

A Intellihot Inc. Case Study

Preview of the Wilderness at the Smokies Case Study

Intellihot delivers hot water to a large resort in the Smokies.

Wilderness at the Smokies, a large family-focused resort in Sevierville, TN, needed a more reliable and space-efficient hot water solution. The property’s aging tank-type heaters were failing regularly and leaking, creating concern about potential damage to suites below and adding pressure in already space-limited mechanical rooms. Intellihot Inc. provided the hot water system for the resort.

Intellihot Inc. installed five iQ1001s and two iQ751s, replacing 17 aging tank heaters and eliminating the need for 1,700 gallons of hot water storage. The new zero-storage system delivered 6.5 million BTU/hr of installed capacity, giving Wilderness at the Smokies a more efficient, dependable, and compact hot water solution with reduced leak risk and improved operational reliability.
