Utah Valley University, a 40,936-student institution, needed a reliable hot water solution for new student housing that would avoid the space, leak risk, and inefficiency of large storage tanks. Intellihot Inc. was brought in to replace the original Raypak-based design with a more compact, safer, and more efficient system using iQ-series water heaters.

Intellihot Inc. installed (2) iQ751, (4) iQ1001, and (6) iQ1501 units across five buildings, delivering 14.5 million BTU/hr with zero gallons of storage. The result was endless hot water, reduced footprint, simpler piping, Legionella mitigation, and deep energy savings, with the company noting up to 40% energy savings compared with traditional water heating methods.
