East Tennessee State University needed a reliable backup hot water solution for its D.P. Culp University Center. The center's aging system of five storage tanks was insufficient, especially during shutdowns of the main campus steam system for summer maintenance and emergency repairs. Intellihot provided a solution using its iQ1001 unit.

Intellihot replaced the five old tanks with a single iQ1001 unit. This solution now supplies the entire student center with hot water whenever the main steam system is down for maintenance or during emergency outages, ensuring consistent and reliable service. The installed Intellihot unit provides a capacity of 1,000,000 BTU/hr.
