Abigail Adams Middle School in Weymouth, MA, needed to replace a hot water system in its mechanical room that was more than 30 years old and beyond its useful life. The school’s existing indirect water heaters and 800-gallon storage tank forced the boilers to run year-round, creating an inefficient and aging setup for serving hot water to 1,030 students.

Intellihot Inc. provided two iQ751 condensing tankless water heaters with zero storage to meet the school’s hot water demand. The new system delivered 1,500,000 BTU/hr of installed capacity, eliminated the need for storage tanks, and gave Abigail Adams Middle School a more efficient, space-saving solution with built-in redundancy and on-demand operation.
