The customer, 95 State at City Creek, a mixed-use high-rise tower in Salt Lake City, faced the challenge of maximizing valuable floor space for tenants. The engineers and architects sought a solution that would eliminate the need for traditional water storage tanks, as every square foot was critical in the premium real estate market. The vendor, Intellihot Inc., provided its iQ1501 tankless water heating system to meet this need.

Intellihot installed two iQ1501 units, providing 3,000,000 BTU/hr of capacity with zero gallons of storage. This solution freed up significant space for high-value tenants. The system also provided important safety and efficiency results, protecting tenants against Legionella and yielding drastic energy reduction, which allowed the building owners to flex their urban green credentials.
