Personal Protection Manufacturer Automates Both Orders & AP, Reduces Costly Workflow Pile-Ups with IntelliChief’s Paperless Process Management

Sperian Protection-Honeywell Safety Products, the Smithfield, RI–based personal protection manufacturer owned by Honeywell Safety Products, faced costly workflow pile-ups from paper-based order and Accounts Payable processes—80% of orders arrived by fax or email, were manually routed, refaxed between locations, and invoices were sorted and routed by hand. To eliminate paper, streamline multi-location workflows, and integrate with their ERP, Sperian selected IntelliChief’s Paperless Process Management solution.

IntelliChief implemented its Paperless Process Management suite (including FastFax, Formtastic, and document capture/workflow) to automatically capture, classify and route orders and invoices into Sperian’s ERP; staff were productive on the system within two days. The automated solution sped order processing and payment receipt, improved cash flow, enabled capture of vendor discounts and avoidance of late fees, removed refaxing and routing errors, and provided permission-based access to documents across the organization.
