Intelledox Infiniti empowered the Department of Infrastructure to digitally transform their old vehicle import application process

The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development (DIRD) manages Australia’s vehicle import approvals and was processing over 20,000 applications a year using three downloadable Word forms and manual fees. This paper-based process was time-consuming, generated some 40,000 support calls annually, and required further contact with over 80% of applicants, so DIRD engaged Intelledox to deploy its Infiniti solution in May 2013 to reduce workload and improve application quality.

Intelledox delivered a single, dynamic Infiniti web form integrated with Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics, enabling document upload, reuse of prior applicant data, and an integrated credit‑card payment gateway. Within three months DIRD received 2,800 electronic applications, up to 95% of applicants paid online, paper forms were being phased out in under two months, and Intelledox helped cut the applicant query rate from over 80% to less than 20%, improving turnaround times and reducing manual processing.
