Weyerhaeuser, a large forest products company managing millions of acres of forestland, needed to restructure its corporate content management environment after years of growth. Intellective was brought in to perform a deep technical review of Weyerhaeuser’s content management systems and recommend the best approach for consolidating and then separating the necessary content and data.

Using its interchange tools, Intellective implemented a solution that split the systems to match the new company structure, resulting in an IBM FileNet P8 system for the new entity and a retained IMS system to support the core business. The migration and evaluation process was described as routine for Intellective, and the outcome enabled Weyerhaeuser to better align its ECM environment with its evolving organization.
