Banco Cuscatlán modernizes Swift for ISO 20022 ahead of the November 2025 mandate with IntellectEU

Banco Cuscatlán, a leading financial institution in El Salvador, faced the challenge of modernizing its Swift infrastructure to meet the global ISO 20022 messaging standard and remain interoperable. The bank partnered with vendor IntellectEU for comprehensive advisory and consulting services to guide this critical migration.

IntellectEU implemented a high-integrity technical setup of Swift solutions, including Alliance Access and Alliance Gateway, across four environments to ensure operational continuity. The result was a successful migration to a native ISO 20022 (MX) architecture well ahead of the 2025 deadline. This provided Banco Cuscatlán with a future-proof, scalable messaging framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and zero disruption to its operations.
