NutraHealthFoods launches Patient Health Information system on Intellect

A large, well-known non-profit healthcare provider in San Mateo County—serving over 92,000 members through a 50-clinic network—faced growing difficulty managing its pediatric weight-management program (the Spanish Shapedown program) with manual spreadsheets. As membership and simultaneous groups expanded, scheduling, tracking, billing and reporting became error-prone, slow and hard to scale, creating revenue loss and staff frustration. NutraHealthFood, founded in 2007, developed the electronic Patient Health Information Tracking System (ePHITS) on the Intellect platform to address these needs.

ePHITS, a modular system including scheduling, patient assessment, program management, reporting, session evaluation and billing, provided the flexibility and workflow controls the organization required. After implementation the provider saw a tenfold increase in member participation, a fourfold growth in business and outreach, reduced billing and insurance claim errors, improved communication and real-time data reporting—enabling scalable, more efficient program management.
