Microbac Laboratories is the largest family‑owned, privately held third‑party testing company in the U.S., with over 600 employees across 30 locations, providing testing and analytics for environmental, food, and life‑science markets. Their QMS was fragmented across Excel, Access, SharePoint, KnowledgeTree, Smartsheets and several homegrown apps, lacked automated workflows, notifications and standardized business rules, and relied heavily on institutional knowledge and manual intervention—creating audit, training and maintenance risks.

Microbac selected Intellect’s highly configurable cloud QMS to consolidate document management, training, CAPA, supplier and audit management and to build custom apps (Auditor Portal, User Management). The rollout delivered centralized access, automated reminders and workflows, and easier configuration by non‑IT staff; audits shortened dramatically (one two‑day audit completed in two hours, ISO audits cut by half a day on average), training became faster and more accessible, and the company realized greater transparency, productivity and cost savings.
