Lao Airlines, the national carrier of Laos, sought to modernize its passenger experience and move toward a technology‑driven, self‑service model to meet world‑class customer‑service standards and reduce reliance on traditional GDS channels. To achieve this, Lao Airlines worked with InteliSys Aviation, building on its existing ameliaRES PSS and adopting InteliSys’ SOAR app and related SOAR web internet booking engine and travel agency portal.
InteliSys Aviation delivered the SOAR mobile app, providing bookings, loyalty, trip management, flight status, mobile purchases, digital boarding passes, check‑in and ancillary sales in a single mobile experience. Lao Airlines is now live on the SOAR app, enabling closer passenger engagement, streamlined mobile self‑service and an improved ability to promote special offers and ancillaries—capabilities that InteliSys says will help reduce GDS dependence and increase the airline’s sales volume.
