Case Study: Forterra achieves unified, mobile-enabled EHS management with Intelex

A Intelex Case Study

Preview of the Forterra Case Study

Where Technology and Innovation Intersect with Bricks and Mortar

Forterra PLC, a 231‑year‑old UK manufacturer of bricks, blocks and precast products with 1,800 employees across 20 sites, needed to modernize and unify its fragmented health, safety and quality systems. Its legacy EHS software was desktop‑only and ill suited to a mobile workforce, and after growth through mergers the company lacked consistent incident, observations and audit processes to support ISO certifications and its Roadmap to Zero Harm.

Forterra selected Intelex and used a phased rollout (go‑live Jan 2019 through 2021) to deploy incident, audit, observations, inspections and corporate reporting modules, with strong implementation support and mobile access for field staff. The result: centralized data capture and better-quality reports, improved audit management to support ISO compliance, stronger site‑level analytics for safety and ESG, reduced administrative duplication, and ongoing plans to expand integrations and mobile adoption.
