University Simplifies Compliance, Nonconformances and CAPAs with Intelex

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) needed a scalable system to achieve ISO 14001–level environmental compliance, more effectively identify and resolve nonconformances, reduce administrative inefficiencies, and manage internal objectives alongside external regulations such as OSHA and fire inspections — all while ensuring they could pass audits now and as the institution grew.

RIT implemented Intelex’s Environmental Management System with a focus on nonconformances and corrective/preventative actions; Intelex helped customize the solution and delivered on-site train-the-trainer sessions for about 50 users. The result was stronger, sustained compliance capability: improved tracking, reporting and management of regulatory issues, reliable audit performance, and confidence the system can support evolving needs like cataloguing campus environmental exposures.
