Port of Houston Authority needed to replace a laborious, non–web-based environmental management system with an easy-to-use solution that would support ISO 14001:2004, manage and track all documents, streamline organization-wide correspondence, and drive adoption across all staff levels from frontline workers to senior management.

They implemented Intelex’s 100% web-based EMS, including on-site and ongoing webinar training, Message Center, Document Control and a customizable iForms system, and upgraded to Intelex 5. As a result they maintain ISO 14001:2004 standards, centrally manage documents and notifications, calculate and monitor KPIs with Intelex’s reporting suite, improve internal communication, and continue developing a Waste Management iForm—while users benefit from easy form customization that increased system adoption.
