MN Pets is a mobile veterinary practice serving the Twin Cities, founded in 2010 by Dr. Rebecca McComas and now employing five doctors and two grief counselors. The practice had outgrown Excel for tracking clients, invoices, payroll, taxes, veterinary records and DEA-controlled narcotics, and needed a secure, real-time, multi-user solution that was simple to implement and easy to use as the business grew.

Using the Intelex Application Builder, MN Pets configured a secure, web-based system—dubbed “The Buddy System”—and moved from concept to live in two months with legacy data imported and minimal training. The new platform streamlined appointment booking and administration, saving about 10 hours of admin work per week, made the practice fully audit-ready for the DEA, improved data accuracy and internal communication, and postponed the need to hire additional staff.
