SGS Uses Intelex App Builder to Customise Solutions for Robust Data Collection

SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification with more than 2,600 sites and 96,000 employees, needed a customizable platform to digitize and standardize health, safety and environmental (HSE) data across its operations. Prior to Intelex, reporting relied on paper and dozens of Excel sheets with no traceable visibility of investigations or corrective actions, so SGS required a solution that fit real-world workflows and would be adopted by frontline users.

Using Intelex’s App Builder, SGS built and customized apps for incident, near-miss, hazard, permit-to-work, vehicle inspections and more, plus BI reporting and integrations (including Power BI and vehicle telematics). The platform now covers 1,700 sites with about 25,000 active users, 2,700 BI reports and 91 dashboards, delivering more reliable, actionable insights, streamlined reporting and a significant reduction in LTIR/TRIR—most notably during the 2014–2015 adoption milestone.
