Subaru Canada, headquartered in Mississauga and supporting about 90 dealers nationwide, was struggling with a fragmented training system based on folders and spreadsheets. With multiple offices and ISO 14001 certification requirements, the company needed a centralized solution to make training materials accessible, transfer ownership of department-specific training from HR to managers, reduce nonconformances, and improve audit readiness.
Within a year Subaru implemented Intelex’s online environmental management system across its headquarters and dealerships (170+ users), later expanding to Montreal and Vancouver. Intelex centralized records, shifted training accountability to managers, allowed rapid customization of applications, and eliminated nonconformances (from an average of 4 per year to zero), maintained ISO 14001 certification, sped up audits, and significantly cut administrative time.
