A Intelex Case Study
Agnico Eagle Mines, a global gold miner founded in 1957 with eight mines across Canada, Finland and Mexico and roughly 8,400 employees, needed to modernize its environmental, health and safety (EHS) processes. The company relied on paper-based spreadsheets that prevented real-time incident tracking, slowed executive approvals for safety projects, and could not easily support multiple languages across its sites.
In 2011 Agnico implemented the Intelex Health & Safety Management Suite, using configurable forms, multilingual interfaces, risk assessments and real-time dashboards to streamline reporting and investigations. By 2017 the company’s accident frequency rate fell from 3.23 to 0.79 per 200,000 hours (a ~75% reduction), 18,392 incidents were captured for analysis, system logins surged and leaders gained the data needed to speed safety approvals and monitor project performance.
