A Intelex Case Study
BA Blacktop, a British Columbia construction firm founded in 1956 that builds roads, runways, ports and other infrastructure, needed to streamline and unify its Quality and Safety management across remote sites. The company sought a modern, robust and user‑friendly system to centralize nonconformance and safety data, deliver real‑time dashboards for management visibility, and support ISO 9001 compliance.
Intelex deployed a web‑based suite, trained staff on six core tasks, and centralized incident, QNCR and document tracking with automated alerts. As a result BA Blacktop’s incident rate dropped from 7.16 to 1.38 per year, spills fell 56%, motor‑vehicle accidents declined 18%, nonconformance reporting rose (18 vs. 1), and the company realized improved insurance premiums and stronger ISO adherence.
