Capital Radiology realises immediate improved referrer experience and radiology productivity benefits with a staged InteleConnect® EV and IntelePACS® roll out

Capital Radiology, a leading diagnostic imaging provider with more than 800 employees supporting over 40 radiologists across some 60 sites in Australia, faced growing clinical and operational challenges: referrers demanded a reliable image-and-report viewing portal, off-site and specialty reporting was limited, newly acquired sites were hard to integrate, and bandwidth and overflow reporting issues were impacting turnaround times. To address these priorities, Capital Radiology selected Intelerad and its Imaging Connectivity Suite, initially deploying InteleConnect® EV (and later InteleViewer™ and IntelePACS®) to improve referrer connectivity with minimal disruption.

Intelerad implemented a staged roll‑out—overlaying InteleConnect® EV on the legacy PACS, then adopting InteleViewer™ as the standard diagnostic tool and ultimately IntelePACS®—with low operational risk and responsive project management. The result was an immediate uplift in referrer experience and radiology productivity: near real‑time availability of study images, faster report turnaround times, drastically reduced PACS support needs and manual interventions, seamless remote and overflow reporting, and a scalable foundation that supports Capital Radiology’s growth across its 60 sites and 40+ radiologists.
